Slade Lawn Services Terms and Conditions

QUOTES
Our Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of the quote.

INVOICES
All invoices are issued on the day of service. Payment is due on the day the service has been completed.

PAYMENT TERMS
We accept cash on the day as well as online bank transfer or deposit into our bank account. Bank account details are printed on your invoice.

OVERDUE PAYMENTS
A reminder notice will be issued 5 days after invoice due date. If payment is not received before your next scheduled service date Slade Lawn Services may cancel your service until payment is received in full.

CANCELLATION OF SERVICE
Slade Lawn Services requires cancellation of service to be done within 24 hours before your regular scheduled lawn maintenance is to be carried out via text message or email.

PRICING
Our service pricing is based on a number of variable factors. Factors taken into consideration when we provide quotes include but are not limited to: the size of your yard, steep areas or multiple levels, the number of areas requiring edging and obstructions such as trees.

We service the 2448 postcode. Travel expenses to any services requested outside of these localities will be factored into the quote.

We do have a minimum price of $60 regardless of how small the job is in order to cover running costs.

Due to increases in running costs every year we may need to re-evaluate your service fee. In the event of an increase you will be advised 14 days prior with an explanation.

 

BASIC SERVICES
All jobs will include a lawn mow, edges done and a blow down to remove as much of the clippings from hard surfaces as possible. Anything extra can be arranged and will be charged within a pre-agreed price range.

 

Weekly and fortnightly services are available on request by the customer.

OTHER SERVICES
We offer additional services which can be included in your service agreement. Other services include hedging and pruning, weed control, fertilising, and pressure washing. Please feel free to contact us for a quote on these services. We can offer these services as a one off or can include this in your regular lawn maintenance program.

REGULAR LAWN MAINTENANCE SERVICES
Our quoted pricing for regular lawn mowing allows for 24 services per year based on a fortnightly service during September-May and a monthly service during June-August. This includes 21 mows, with an optional 2 fertiliser services and 2 weed sprays per year.

If wet weather is forecasted on the day of your scheduled mow, Slade Lawn Services will endeavor to carry out your scheduled mow, whether it means mowing your lawn a few days earlier or a few days after schedule.

SPECIAL EVENTS
If you are having a special event and require your service on a specific day or time, or wish to add an additional service, please advise us as early as possible to allow us to accommodate your needs.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
We  work on public holidays at our own discretion.

GREEN WASTE POLICY
We can catch grass clippings and dispose of them in your Green Waste Bin.

If your Green Waste Bin is full or we are unable to use it at the time of service, an additional cost will be charged of $20 which is based on council fees and labour costs for us to take grass clippings away, alternatively the lawn will be mulched.

We can include Green Waste Removal in your Regular Lawn Maintenance quote.

Council fees are passed on directly to you. The fees listed below do not include labour costs and are subject to change without notice.

SITE ACCESS

Locked Gate
If you prefer to lock your gate, we would recommend you give/leave us a key or combination. If we cannot gain access to a yard, Slade Lawn Services reserves the right to charge a service fee to cover travel expenses from $20.00  (or more depending on location of property) which will be invoiced that day.

 

Obstructed Access
Please ensure your lawn and access points are clear of parked vehicles. If Slade Lawn Services is unable to access parts of your property, the regular service fee will be charged.

If the lawn becomes overgrown by the next scheduled visit, extra charges may apply.

Lawn Debris
Please ensure your service areas are free from pet droppings, toys, bones, rocks or any other type of debris before your service day. These types of items are very hazardous if hit by mower blades and can result in serious damage to your property or equipment, or serious injury to our staff or others.

If we observe debris left on the lawn we will not be able to mow that area and will charge your normal service fee.

 

We are happy to provide a quote to include clearing area of debris in your regular service if this is required.

COMMUNICATION
Slade Lawn Services will send a reminder text the morning of your scheduled mow. This is to ensure access is available, obstructions are removed from the service area and cash is ready for cash on delivery agreements.

 

SAFETY
At Slade Lawn Services, safety is our highest priority. Due to the nature of our work we MUST take care and ensure the terrain is safe before proceeding with services. This can take extra time and the Client, by engaging our services, understands the importance of this.

LIABILITY INSURANCE
We are professionals and take all due care to ensure that incidents do not occur, but accidents can happen. We carry full public liability insurance for your peace of mind, however, not all damage is automatically covered.

PROPERTY DAMAGE
Please ensure your service areas are free from loose property such as play equipment, toys, pet bedding, rocks, etc. before your service day. These types of items are very hazardous if hit by mower blades and can result in serious damage to your property or equipment, or serious injury to our staff or others.

It is the Client’s responsibility to minimise the risk of such an incident, and it is recommended that the Client remove any items or debris from our mowing path before we arrive to commence work. If these items cannot be removed, then it is recommended that the Client highlights or alerts us to these items in some way.

If we observe debris left on the lawn we will take all measures to avoid that area as to prevent property damage. We are happy to provide a quote to include clearing area of debris in your regular service if this is required.

PROJECTILE DAMAGE
It is the property occupant’s responsibility to remove anything that can be damaged by a projectile ejected from our equipment during a mow before we arrive to commence work.

We may not be automatically liable for damage from projectiles ejected from our equipment while servicing your property. If an accidental breakage does occur then, we carry public liability insurance and we will make sure the incident is investigated.

Be assured if damage occurs while we are on site, we will notify you immediately and discuss the incident and options for repair. If you discover a breakage after we have serviced your property (e.g., broken car window), please call us immediately. Do not move or clean up anything as we need to be able to investigate the incident without the area being interfered with. If a vehicle or other items are moved from the location where damaged occurred before we are given the opportunity to inspect the damage, we cannot be held liable to repair the damage or any costs incurred in repairing the damage.
